The SWAPO Party is proud to collaborate with a diverse network of affiliates that contribute to our mission of fostering national unity, social justice, and sustainable development.
Our affiliates play a vital role in supporting and amplifying the party’s efforts across various sectors and communities.
The National Union of Namibian Workers is one of three national trade union centers in Namibia. It was established in 1970 and is affiliated with SWAPO.
The NUNW was originally established as a general workers union in April 1970 through a resolution of the 1969/70 SWAPO party congress in Tanzania.
The FPCA was established as a former combatants platform through which to safeguard SWAPO party and transmit its policy, ideology and program, with the specific mission to assist the party to regain its traditional popularity, commanding majority in the national assembly and its long-term political governance of the country.
