For over six decades, SWAPO Party, the Party that I lead has been at the forefront of the Namibian struggle for independence and continues to lead the nation towards a future of unity, justice, and prosperity. SWAPO Party is a mass based political Party born and steeled in a crucible of a popular and heroic struggle for national independence. It is founded on the principles of solidarity, freedom and justice for all.

SWAPO Party Membership

The SWAPO Party Membership is available to every Namibia citizen above the age of 18 who accepts the aims and objectives of SWAPO Party.

SWAPO Party Elder’s Council

The SWAPO Party Elders Council provides the party insight into issues affecting Namibia’s senior citizens and veterans of Namibia’s struggle for national liberation. The Council also plays an active role in the running of the party by availing to the party their experienced guidance and tried and tested wisdom.

SWAPO Party Women’s Council

The SWAPO Party Women’s Council champions the cooperation and solidarity with other progressive national and international women’s organizations. The council is also responsible for the articulation of SWAPO Party’s policies and the Political Program among the Namibian women.

SWAPO Party Youth League

The SWAPO Party Youth League is a dynamic and energetic wing of the party dedicated to promote and coordinate contacts and solidarity between SWAPO Party Youth League and other friendly youth organizations throughout the world

SWAPO Party Former PLAN Combatants Association

The FPCA was established as a former combatants platform through which to safeguard SWAPO party and transmit its policy, ideology and program, with the specific mission to assist the party to regain its traditional popularity, commanding majority in the national assembly and its long-term political governance of the country.
